Six useful decisions
Choose the function first, then the finish
There is no single blind that is best for every Bangalore property. A practical choice begins with what the window needs to do throughout the day.
Start with the room
Bedrooms often prioritise darkness and privacy; living rooms may need softer daylight; offices need glare control; balconies need weather resistance.
Observe the light
Note when direct sun reaches the glass. Sunscreen and adjustable slats behave differently from blackout fabrics and opaque outdoor materials.
Decide how much privacy
Daytime screening is not always enough after dark. Consider interior lighting, nearby buildings and the direction each window faces.
Plan maintenance
Kitchens, dusty roads, balconies and high windows need materials and controls that are practical to clean and operate.
Measure after choosing the system
Recess depth, handles, opening direction and bracket space affect the final dimensions. Production measurements should be taken for the selected blind type.
Compare manual and motorised control
Manual operation is simple for many windows. Motorisation can be valuable for large, high or frequently operated blinds when power and access are planned.
